In the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair, she was listed as one of the year's hot teen celebrity stars. In 2004 Vega produced two short films: Sleepover, and State's Evidence. In 2005, she starred in the Lifetime television film Odd Girl Out, as a victim of cyber-bullying. The film was a specially-made television show in 2006 called Walkout. in 2007 she completed the filming of Remember the Daze which was only available in select theatres. Repo was finished. The Genetic Opera released in 2008. 10 years ago, Vega was confirmed to play the main character in Helix composed and directed by Aram Rappaport, which began filming in Chicago beginning in March of 2008. Her initial role was in Robert Rodriguez's 2009 Robert Rodriguez film Shorts. The problem was that she was travelling to Australia for filming Broken Hill, the role as Vega in Shorts was changed.
