Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole child from Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, an engineer and tool maker. She was also a employee of a plant. She was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick. She was one of the three siblings. Stone was regarded as academically gifted when she started in the second grade at age five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. Her graduation was in 1975. In addition, she competed in and was crowned in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone together with her aunt in 1977, moved to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. Then, she relocated into Europe and spent an entire year living in Milan and Paris. Stone did, however, become unhappy with acting and modeling in Europe. Stone decided to keep her acting career going acting as a model while she lived there. Stone was a 20-year-old in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," the film which got mixed praises.
